Oxford Alumni 2020

You might be leaving Oxford, but Oxford will never leave you

***Over the last couple of weeks, we've emailed you about activating your My Oxford Online account. To those of you who opened it – excellent! To those of you who didn’t… please make sure you open it, and if you can’t see it, be sure to check your junk folders!***

We understand that the end of your academic time here at the University is a lot different than you expected, and we want you to know that Oxford’s alumni community is here to support you. We want to keep you up to date on exclusive events, networking opportunities, advice, and much more.

The elephant in the room

We can't not talk about COVID-19 because we're really sad we won't be able to meet you all face to face at our events to give you your new My Oxford Card, plus letting us know how you want to stay in touch with us in the future.

Once you leave your college, department or the central University (aka us, the Alumni Office) we need your consent to contact you, if you don't have it, we can't let you know about all the amazing events, networking opportunities and much more back in Oxford.

A new way of doing things

To that end, we have made the process as simple as possible for you. From now, we'll be emailing you instructions with a link to creating your brand new My Oxford Online account – this is where you can give your consent back to the University as a whole.

And what's in it for you? We're glad you asked...

Meet your mentors

These four alumni gave us exclusive Zoom interviews to give you advice on attention grabbing CVs, going into the workplace, maintaining a worklife balance, entrepreneurship and much more! And these will be exclusively available to you on My Oxford Online.

Plus all of the below

Introducing... the all new Oxford Card

Think of this card as your new best Oxford friend. Flashing this to the porters will get you into any college (not just your own) and it gets you discounts in restaurants, shops and bars all over the city.

Most importantly this gives you your Oxford number (8-XXXXXXXX) which you can use to sign up for your online account. Through this account, you can access online journals with JSTOR (that's for matriculated alumni only), subscribe to email newsletters from anywhere in the University and because we know you'll be moving about you can keep all your contact details up to date on there too.

Professional networking online

NetworkingWe don't want to limit your Oxford connection to just your college or your year group so we created an exclusive platform, My Oxford Network, where you can connect with Oxford alumni across the world. Find a mentor, search for jobs, sign up for events and much more.
